
They may have just been toggled when i reset the driver. I've since disabled the exclusive options, but I don't think they were on before the reset driver anyways. I have been rebooting to fix it the odd time that it happens, but I just discovered that going into device manager and selecting the sound device, disabling the driver, and enabling it again This works just as well. Driver rollback is grayed out as well and there is no "Change Settings" option in the general tab. Since I switched to using this HDMI port the problem comes up more often. Please close any devices that are playing audio to this device and then try again. This has happened with my headphones in the past, but rarely. The device is being used by another application. I am using my AMD r9 270x card's HDMI port for audio.

Once I'm in, I can test the speakers from a device in a variety of ways. When it happens, the Sound control panel nearly takes 1 min to load.
